Crystal Jade

I met up with Esther for dinner today after work. We were supposed to meet at Somerset first, but ended up eating at Crystal Jade Restaurant. We had E-Fu Noodles with Crab Roe Soup and a dish of vegetables. The soup is very delicious! The crab roe adds to the soup its sweetness. However, the service of Crystal Jade is a little not up to expectation. We waited very long before they served us the menus. Both of us were famished by the time the first dish came. The tea we had make us even hungrier. The good thing about the restuarant is that they make your 10% service charge worth the money by standing by to refill your tea cup every now and then. Yet, we felt a little "overwhelmed" by the service because the waiter/waitress will pour your tea and interrupt our conversations every now and then too. Anyway, the food adds up to 20 over dollars for each of us. That's a pretty expensive meal for the week! I got to budget my expenses a little for the remaining week, especially since I am not working full-time anymore.

Overall, I guess I had a great time talking to Esther, who has come back from Australia during her school break. We chatted about our common interest - media. In addition, we managed to fix an important date with CM to have dinner together. In fact, I will be meeting CM this weekend when I go work at STC.

Esther's brother drove us back. He even gave me a ride home. That's very nice of him! Surprisingly, his brother and the girlfriend never said much during the ride. In the end, only Esther and I chatted quite a bit during the ride. We continued our chat on media industry. We then realised that she has been in the industry even before she went to Poly, so that means she actually started in the industry 4 years ago. My 2.5 years seem like peanut to hers. However, both of us are working towards our dream. I guess our common interest in the industry has pulled us together. I hope we could work together in the future!
